The math contest is a county-wide competitive exam for 5-8-year-olds in Santa Cruz County sponsored by the California State Board of Education and conducted every May. Today in its 51st edition, the math contest offers students a two-round test format and certificates of accomplishment to top 3 winners. The canadian math contest that I was involved in had a paper award consisting of a spreadsheet with information about every student's individual performance, as well as the math team's individual and collective grades.
